LOOKING BETTER ALREADY!!!
This would have to be the name of Day3 on our Civil Rights Pilgrimage. The first 2-days were not so much as expected; the weather played a HUGE factor into the things we did and just the mood of the group in general. However, today the weather was beautiful. Eeveryone had high morals and it was even one of the LONGEST days since we started. Today started with a visit to the Rosa Parks Museum. It was AWESOME!!! There was model bus in the museum that modeled the buses back in that time and it showed us the story in which it happened when Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on the bus. Afterwards, we headed to the State Capitol and then we had lunch with the groups for like a refresher. During this time we were able to discuss whatever feelings we may have had anad also what things did people like and what things can we improve better on? After we visited the Center of Poverty and finally concluded somewhere on Dexter ' Street . Then we headed back to the hotel to get some rest because tomorrow we would have to be awaked and readt by 6:45AM!!! Which is pretty funny because it's hard to get a group of 41c0llege students ready! but tonight, was great! We met up with the original people who helped start the Bus Boycott. It was a very pivitol and emotional time hearing these people tell their stories and how others are getting credit for things they did. Just goes to show you4; the injustice in the south and everywhere really.
As always, it's good to be back at the motel and we are ALL tired including myself. So, I'll leavt it at this for now, but tune in, there is more to come...holla'!!!
Nite Nite
