Spring Break!

I can't wait until we leave. I'm super excited for this trip. The main reason I'm excited for this trip is that I am actually doing something important with my break. I feel as an African American it's important to fully learn about my history especially because African American history IS important despite the fact that it isn't taught as well as it should be. I'm most excited with meeting with the history makers of the civil rights movement. I always love to hear the personal stories of people. It makes history feel more personal. That is also what I hope to accomplish on this trip; make the history of my people my own personal history.
